Hip
The hip joint, one of the largest weight-bearing joints in the body, plays a vital role in supporting our movements and maintaining stability. Situated between the thigh bone (femur) and the pelvis (acetabulum), it functions as a ball and socket joint. The rounded head of the femur acts as the ball, while the pelvic acetabulum forms the socket. To ensure smooth and frictionless movement, the joint surface is protected by a layer of smooth articular cartilage that acts as a cushion. This crucial structure enables the hip joint to facilitate fluid and pain-free motions, allowing us to perform various activities with ease.
At OrthoMiami, our dedicated team of specialists possesses in-depth expertise in diagnosing and treating hip conditions. We utilize advanced techniques and treatments to alleviate pain, restore function, and improve the overall quality of life for our patients. Trust us to provide comprehensive care and tailored solutions to address your hip concerns.
