PATIENT SERVICES COORDINATOR
This position’s hours are: Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
The Patient Services Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for patients and healthcare providers within the clinic. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized appointment scheduler to join our orthopedic office. In this position, the employee will be responsible for efficiently coordinating patient appointments, ensuring an organized schedule for our healthcare providers, and delivering exceptional service to our patients. Duties will include:
- Appointment scheduling and answering incoming calls from healthcare providers and patients.
- Ensures that all calls are handled in a timely, courteous manner and that patient appointing is in keeping with all OrthoMiami and clinic policies.
- Communicate appointment details to patients, including date, time, and any necessary preparation instructions.
- Collaborate with medical assistants and front desk staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Handle rescheduling and cancellation requests with professionalism and empathy.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software for accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical and privacy standards.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluent in Spanish
- Previous experience in appointment scheduling or a medical office is preferred.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Empathetic and patient-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of orthopedic or healthcare terminology is beneficial
